When the sun goes down

Saturday, January 14th, 2012

Prasivaiksciojome: nuo namu iki Hampstead Heath parko, paziurejom kaip saule dingo is musu dienos, pavakarieniavome megiamiausioje pizerijoje ir parkulniavome namolio. 5.8 mylios. Paprasti dalykai ir sirdute sypsosi…

We walked from home to Hampstead Heath, watched the sun disappear from our day, had dinner at  favourite Pizza place and walked back home. 5.8 miles. Simple things can make your heart smile…

October the 1st

Sunday, October 2nd, 2011

The sun has been very convincing & autumn is almost forgotten here, for the time being. We’ve been making the best use of those summer clothes in the past week (that didn’t have much of a chance in what was supposed to be the ‘real summer’ in London between the months of May and August) & getting carried away.

First day of October was heated up to close to +30 where we were. Chilling out in the grass in the shade, thinking of ice cream all day long,  BBQing on the terrace late and still wearing short sleeves…  ah! AHHH!!!!  But, we’re about to ‘land’ back in the the real season. The lovely warmth is about to leave us & we’ll be moving on to admiring more and more conkers on our paths, more falling leaves and grey skies…

Back to nature (II)

Life is beautiful.

Back to nature (|)

Monday, August 15th, 2011

No city. No work. No internet. No stress. Just nature, family and total bliss for 5 days. Outdoors all day, almost outdoors all night (in ‘bed’ by 10pm!), ‘green relaxation’ for the eyes and soul, yummy food and above all – completely recharged minds.

We wanted to be by the sea…

Birling Gap, still a favourite, still not overcrowded and not toooooo far…

again

Monday, July 25th, 2011

There was a fatal accident at the Dunstable Downs just before we arrived… the day before – Amy’s Winehouse’s death… 2 days before – events in Norway.  So saddened by this. But a long walk in the country side clears your head while the simple, calm beauty around reminds you, that life is everything, but mostly – worth being appreciated and enjoyed…

London – New Forest National ParkBarton On Sea – London. 200 miles and 1 fantastic day behind.

Best part of the day? Ahmmmmmm… everything. Ponies! I’ve never seen wild ones before. Apparently, there are about 3000 in the park. You see them everywhere: fields, forest, villages, roads… so free, so beautiful…

We want to go back there. Soon.
