I was welcomed to our earth some many years ago. I still hope to stay for many more… hope to learn more, find & pass on more, share and smile more…

Thanks for the life – I treasure it.

the one and only

Your children are not your children.

They are the sons and daughters of Life’s longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you,
And though they are with you yet they belong not to you.

You may give them your love but not your thoughts,
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow,
which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them,
but seek not to make them like you.
For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.

Ah Paris Paris. Je t’aime? Hmmmm maybe we have to go there only the two of us again, without the kids, and find the real face of this city again, but at the moment I’ve no sentiments. This time I loved the Louvre and I love those 3m of fabric I bought (yep, you can find lots of beautiful, in many colours and patterns, heavy, or vintage linen, but boy, the prices!) from a cluttered fabric shop near Le Sacré Coeur. Ok, the cheese is good… and French language is beautiful. And I love their cinema. Book stores. The tune. But there is no love for the city of love…

we took the train, we went to Paris.

On our way

we did see the ashes that keep the metal ‘birds’ grounded…

impressed our kids with the Notre Dame

found the Pompidou Centre closed

got surprised with the amount of people everywhere, restaurant prices, impressed with the selection at the big supermarket, the weather (!) and our kids. Day 1 – done. Two more to go.

Picnic in the park, long walk and a long sleep afterwards.

Days like this one are nearly perfect. No rush, no care. With sun and lots of smiles. All with little effort. All in a big city.

London can be so nice.
