If I would only be allowed to have an extra wish of mine granted, I would (maybe dare to) ask for a gift to see & draw like Rebecca Dautremer does. Aha, not a very small wish… but look at her stuff!
I’m slowly collecting books illustrated by her that I like, Djeco puzzles and so on… Now there is also a film… Eleanor’s secret… The English dubbing isn’t as good as French, but still – it’s a lovely story . And it’s Rebecca’s drawings…
Oh well, if the birthday fairy comes, I know world does not need another Rebecca, I would ask for something simpler… but still, what a magic world one person can create!

Hey Mia! I’m so glad to find another Rebecca fan. We are all (grown ups and kids alike) in awe of her work. The pictures are so full of detail, so full of life and magic. If only the world looked like that when we look through our window in the morning.
I recently brought home a book that has illustrations that remind me of Rebecca…. it’s “La grande fabrique des mots” written by Agnès de Lestrade and illustrated by Valeria Docampo. Worth checking it out!
And thanks for the tip about the film……. it made our day!

Thanks Nele for the Agnes! I always think kids so need good illustrations in their books as it feeds and expands their imagination and colorours their world… If only we could speak French!

Rebecca does draw beautifully, Mia! Maybe, though, if you were able to draw like her, then we might not have your wonderful toy creations…. and that would be so sad!
